2017 Portfolio Review: Winners and Losers

Time flies and 2017 is gone.  All my tradings are done and all dividends are collected.  It is time to review my portfolio's winners and losers in 2017.

Top Dividend Contributors:

1. Starhub (8.76%):
- Starhub is the top dividend contributor in my portfolio.

2. SGX (8.64%):
- SGX has dividend payout every quarter, almost like a REIT.

3. SPH (6.62%):
- SPH has turned red in my portfolio.

Dethroned: Saizen Reit (2016).

In 2016, the top 3 dividend contributors accounted for 35% of my total dividends.  In 2017, the top 3 dividend contributors accounted for just 24% of the total dividends. So, more diversification achieved.

Next, some New Year fun and amusement.

Dividend Yield Winners (龙虎榜):

1. AIMSAMPI Capital Industrial Reit (7.79%):
- Steady stream of dividends from the reit.
- Probably will get more in 2018.

2. Accordia Golf Trust (7.65%)
- One of my tiny holdings.
- Probably will get more in 2018.

3. Silverlake Axis (7.07%)
- One of my tiny holdings.
- Probably will get more in 2018.

Dethroned: Saizen Reit (2016).

Dividend Yield Losers (老鼠榜):

1. Bukit Sembawang (1.58%)
- BS got first place because I added the bulk of BS in Dec and missed most of the dividend payouts for the year.

2. Sembcorp Industries (2.31%)
- Dividend cut...

3. UOB (2.59%)
- UOB is here because of the huge increase in its price.
- More than $26 already.  Why I didn't buy more when I have the chance?

Dethroned: Mapletree Commercial Trust (2016).

A return gain or loss will only be realised when I sell.  The current unrealised return winners and losers:

Unrealised Return Winners (英雄榜):

1. SGX (82.8% gain):
- This is one of my foundation stocks and will remain for keep.
- SGX retains the trophy for this category.

2. SATS (63% gain):
- Will stay for dividends and growth.

3. Suntec Reit (60.4% gain):
- Don't really know why Suntec went up so much.
- Will stay for dividends.

Unrealised Return Losers (狗熊榜):

1. SIA Engg (20.2% loss)
- Price continues declining after exit from STI.
- Still pondering whether to add more or not?
- SIA Engg retains the trophy for this category.

2. Duty Free Int'l (20% loss)
- I probably should not have wandered outside the mainboard.

3. Sembcorp Industries (9.1% loss)
- SCI is lagging behind Keppel Corp in stock price recovery.
- May probably average down.

Wishing everyone Happy New Year and a Prosperous 2018.
