Movement in my portfolio in Oct:-
Sold:- Nil
Bought:- SGX, OCBC (DRIP).
Dividends collected this month: $1,182.60
2018 avg dividends/month: $1,257.09 [18.3% up cf. 2017]
Boring process of building up my passive income portfolio brick-by-brick (bit-by-bit).
Comments:
1. Mini-bear market? Hopefully... Took the opportunity to add more SGX.
2. October's dividends crossed $1K for the first time.
3. Current worst performing counter: Duty Free Int'l (35.2% unrealised loss).

Movement in my portfolio in Sept:-
Sold:- Nil
Bought:- CapitaLand Mall Tr.
Dividends collected this month: $387.09
2018 avg dividends/month: $1,265.36 [13.8% up cf. 2017]
Boring process of building up my passive income portfolio brick-by-brick (bit-by-bit).
Comments:
1. Market mini turnaround in September? Or just quarter-end window dressing?
2. Maiden dividend fruits collected from Cromwell Euro Reit, Keppel-KBS US Reit and Sasseur Reit. However, the fruits from the US and China trees got a bad taste (both gone below their IPO price). Perhaps because of the quarrel between USA and China now. HaHa.
2. Current worst performing counter: Duty Free Int'l (33.8% unrealised loss).

Movement in my portfolio in Aug:-
Sold:- Nil
Bought:- UOB, FCOT (DRIP).
Dividends collected this month: $3,884.71
2018 avg dividends/month: $1,375.15 [15.6% up cf. 2017]
Boring process of building up my passive income portfolio brick-by-brick (bit-by-bit).
Comments:
1. Bumper month in August. New highest record dividend fruits harvested.
Dividends should have exceeded $4K, if OCBC pays its dividend in August like in 2017.
2. Current worst performing counter: Duty Free Int'l (34.1% unrealised loss).

Movement in my portfolio in Jul:-
Sold:- Nil
Bought:- SGX
Dividends collected this month: $0
2018 avg dividends/month: $1,016.64 [16% up cf. 2017]
Boring process of building up my passive income portfolio brick-by-brick (bit-by-bit).
Comments:
1. Top up SGX to the nearest thousand shares, just before their announcement on the final dividend in Oct and the increase in dividend payouts starting 2019.
2. Big fat "0" dividend in July. On a brighter side, I am looking forward breaking my highest dividend harvest in August.
3. Current worst performing counter: Duty Free Int'l (33.2% unrealised loss).

Movement in my portfolio in Jun:-
Sold:- Nil
Bought:- Frasers L&I Tr (Rights), UOB (DRIP), SGX, Astrea IVB4.35%.
Dividends collected this month: $1,359.68
2018 avg dividends/month: $1,186.08 [17.1% up cf. 2017]
Boring process of building up my passive income portfolio brick-by-brick (bit-by-bit).
Comments:
1. My REIT counters are in better shape while my portfolio was weighted down heavily by Starhub, SPH, SingTel and a few other STI counters. Took the opportunity to collect more SGX.
2. Window dressing last day of June returned my portfolio to positive territory (not counting dividends collected). Trade war starting?
3. Current worst performing counter: Duty Free Int'l (36.1% unrealised loss).
I have subscribed to and received allocation to the Astrea IV Private Equity Bond.
The issuance of Astrea IV Bond is the first time that a private equity bond is made available to retail investors on the cheap. This allows me the opportunity to venture into the bond asset class.
I think very likely this signal the open of the floodgates and we will see other bonds issuance in the near future. With the rising interest rates environment, we may see some higher yield bonds.
However, less risk does not mean no risk, and we shall only invest with money that we can afford to lose.
