Movement in my portfolio in April:-
Sold:- Nil.
Bought:- Suntec Reit.

Dividends collected in Apr: $0
2015 avg dividends/month: $317.39 [0.13% down at this stage cf. 2014]

Boring process of building up my passive income portfolio brick-by-brick (bit-by-bit).

Comments:
1. Big fat ZERO dividend in April.  Perhaps I should buy M1 to have some dividends in April.

2. My total portfolio value crossed $180K for the first time.

3. Despite the increase in portfolio size, the total dividends collected is surprisingly 0.13% down at this stage comparing with 2014.  This is because Starhub and Suntec paid dividends in April last year, but they are paying in May this year.

4. Finally May the dividend harvesting month has arrived.  My hard works in planting my dividend trees are starting to bear dividend fruits.  It will be a record harvest of about $2K dividends in May, easily surpassing the previous record when SPH paid special dividends.

  1. Global investments ltd pays twice a year, once in April, and the other towards the end of year. If the dividend is the same, the yield is about 10%.

    1. Hi Anon,

Actually I had Global Investments previously, but I do not like its numerous rights issues.

      Cheers,
      Farmer.

  2. Hi PIF

Congrats on achieving the $180k mark.

And May should be really bountiful for you in terms of dividends received.

  3. Will be even more motivating if you include your average price bought to indicate capital appreciation.

    1. Hi Destiny,

Thanks for your comment. I think the current price is more important as that is the price I am getting if I sell.

      Cheers,

    1. Hi Felix,

I feel that the average cost could be a hindrance, both to me and fellow readers. We should buy into great and fair values and not average values.

      Cheers,
      Farmer.

  5. Hi PIF,

Congrats on your solid S portfolio. U noe wat I mean for the S.. :-) ..Ur 5 S is so strong. Reminds me of 5 Stars arising in our Singapore flag.

I sold Suntec partially in my portfolio when it peaked close to $2. Was wondering if I should picked it up again, now that it retreats.

    1. Hi Rolf,

Thanks for your comments. Yes, S for "Star".

Congrats on your profits on Suntec when it peaked. But Suntec is like a variable star, it always peak and then fade. HAHA.

      Cheers,
      Farmer.

Congrats on passing 180k. I went into Noble Group last month.

Last week was thinking of going into Suntec City and M1 (for M1 if it drops a little more)

    1. Hi FoodieFC,

Thanks! I had Nobel when it was still a 2+ stock. Luckily, I exit early with small profit. Too high risk for me. Haha.

      Cheers,
      Farmer.

  9. Hi Passive Income Farmer,

Thanks for dropping by my blog a week ago.

Your portfolio is looking great and good to see your dividends coming!
I wish I have as much as you :)

Sembcorp's results wasn't very good and many people sold it before or right after the results but I decided to hold for the long term though and consider to buy more on weakness...though i only have 1k shares , haha.
    Are you still holding? :)

Same here i got 0 dividends for Apr other than a little of US stocks, but it's ok, but I guess many stocks went XD though :)

    1. Hi Kelvin,

Thanks for your comments. Yes, I am holding SCI for long term. I have only 1k shares too and will want to accumulate more if it comes near my average cost.

      Cheers,
      Farmer.
