Dividends collected in Nov: $1,434.11
2016 avg dividends/month: $1,076.60 [45.8% up at this stage cf. 2015]
Boring process of building up my passive income portfolio brick-by-brick (bit-by-bit).
Comments:
1. REIT trees planting month in November. Took the opportunity to increase some of my REITs counters for future dividend fruits. Looking forward to maybe another opportunity in December.
2. STI has closed above 2,900 at end November. Who said the market would crash after Trump's victory?
3. Current worst performing counter: Sembcorp Indust (20.2% unrealised loss). Pondering whether to average down but found the REITs to be more tasty.
What is the rationale in buying into REITS now
ReplyDelete- when interest rate rises will depress price?
- retails and industrial reits are hit with excess capacity and rental under pressure currently?
I am a retirees also looking for building an improved steam of dividends and hopeful I can learn from you.
Hi Unknown,
DeleteDifferent person, different situation, different risk appetite and tolerance.
I feel that the price is low enough, so I buy. Aside from FLT, I have big safety margin for those counters as I already hold them for long time. Yes, the price may be lower in Dec, then will be another opportunity to buy again.
I am on accumulation phase, but a retiree will need to go on conservation phase.
Cheers.
